Rejuvenation
RejuvenationREJUVENATION™ is a patented process that can often double the playing life of synthetic grass sports surfaces for less than a quarter of the cost of installing a new carpet surface. REJUVENATION™ will restore synthetic turf surfaces that have become contaminated, compacted and slow draining to virtually "as new" condition. REJUVENATION™ will restore:

  • Porosity and free drainage
  • Playing performance
  • Player's comfort and safety
  • The appearance of the surface
  • The infill is re-installed or replaced with new infill, as required.

In addition to costing far less than the alternative of replacing the carpet, the REJUVENATION™ process takes only a few days, minimizing loss of playing time and revenue.

How does the REJUVENATION™ process work?

  • RejuvenationThe compacted and contaminated surface is hard, often matted, and may flood, making it unplayable (Stage 1).
  • Using our patented Beaver machine, the top 10-20mm of infill is extracted.
  • High-pressure air is delivered into the carpet, decompacting the surface and driving out the dirty infill. The pile fibers are cleaned and untangled (Stage 2).
  • A purpose-built infill spreading machine distributes fresh infill back onto and into the turf.
  • Our purpose built infill machine, fitted with rotary and oscillating brushes, works the infill into the surface.
  • The final surface is virtually "as new," maximizing the playing performance, keeping the fields safe by lowering Gmax scores, and extending the surface life, and investment return of the field(Stage 3).

The B-2000
The patented machine developed for the Rejuvenation™ process is the B-2000 Multi. This equipment is designed to remove all of the infill on a synthetic turf field down to the backing without damaging the turf. The machine delivers compressed air into the carpet, aerating and de-compacting the infill, while also cleaning and untangling the yarns, standing them up straight in order to accept new or replaced infill.

CleanIt Service

CLEANIT is a four step process that provides this important bi-annual service.

  1. SMGA magnetic device is passed over the field to collect metal particles from the turf.
  2. Using a rotating brush and an air vacuum the top 2-5mm of infill is cleaned and screened removing broken strands, dirt, etc. and the filtered infill is reapplied onto the field.
  3. The top layer (2-5 mm) of infill is decompacted to achieve better cleaning of the infill. Shock absorbing characteristics are improved and so is the ball bounce, which helps improve playability.
  4. As a final step oscillating brushes are used to assure the applied infill is moved back down into the fibers, to detangle the fibers leaving no tracking marks.
The SMG

This machine is for cleaning and maintaining artificial surfaces with infill and used during the Cleanit process. The SMG removes dirt and other materials quickly and efficiently before it can damage the field surface. A brush, suction, and filter system within the unit sucks up dirt and straightens the fibers, which helps preserve the surface.

Maintenance Program

For many synthetic turf providers, field installation marks the end of the relationship with field owners. However, that's not the case with G9.

G9's "Any Turf, Any Time" pledge means that we will maintain and rejuvenate synthetic turf fields for any manufacturer or for any fields installed, designed and maintained by any other turf services provider.

G9's exclusive maintenance provision guarantees:

  • significantly reduced G-max field rating that brings the turf into compliance
  • safer conditions for athletes
  • protection of your investment
  • infill depth that offers uniformity as opposed to undulations
  • cleaner, more robust infill re-definition of field boundaries and identifications
